Starting with your stud, gently pull the hook open and slide your charm or drop in.
Gently press the hook back down to secure the charm or drop in place.

Unique to O&P, Convertible Earrings offer a fully customizable design-your-own earring experience ✨ Choose your own studs and charms in different shapes and colors and create an earring tailored to your own style. Our Convertible styles use discrete hooks on the back of each piece to easily link to one another.
The best part is you can easily change the length from short to long, or add new colors and shapes as often as you want. We love how versatile they are, taking you from day to night, moment to moment.
As each Convertible earring design is uniquely yours and a customized product, all sales are final and ineligible for exchange or return.

In just 3 simple steps, you'll have one unique earring with endless ways to wear:
- Start with your base: select "Studs & Charms" if you don't have any Convertible Earrings yet. Already have a Convertibles stud? Select "Only Charms" to continue your design.
- Add your charms: mix and match up to 4 charms. You can always come back later to purchase more charms to either add onto your earring or create more design possibilities.
- Complete with a drop (optional): finish it off with a pearl drop.
A few things to keep in mind:
- Your base stud needs to be Convertible-compatible. Either from this collection, or from one of our past Convertible styles
- The optional drop will always be the final piece of your earring as it doesn't have a hook on the back
Once you've added your custom earring design to cart, you can increase the quantity from within the cart.
Shopping for your bridal party? This is the best way to gift everyone the same earring, then they can use the components you selected to mix up the earring however they'd like!
Our custom earring experience allows up to 4 charms and one pearl drop to be selected at once. If you'd like to purchase more charms in the same order, you can start a second custom earring design and select "Just Charms" to purchase additional charms. If you'd like more charms and an additional set of studs, select "Stud & Charms."
This message means one of your selected components is out of stock. Please review your selection using the below steps to determine which component in your design is out of stock:
- Desktop users: hover over your colour selection for each component to see if it's noted as out of stock
- Mobile users: click your colour selection—if unavailable, an out of stock message will appear beside the name of the colour
Please use the above steps to pick another component that's currently available.
Convertible charms are only compatible with Convertible studs. These charms are compatible with all of our earlier Convertible styles:

Convertible Earrings will arrive in a O&P pouch. Each pair of studs will be packaged in their own pouch and all charms will be grouped together in another pouch (up to 3 charms per pouch).

To mix up your Convertible earring, use a gentle hand to open the hook on the back of your component. From there, either slide a new component on or remove the existing one, then gently press the hook closed again. You can see further instructions here or just send us a note at info@oliveandpiper.com.
