ABOUT THE #OANDPGIRLS: Marisa Horvath

Marisa is the girl behind all the olive + piper blog and helps out with some of the social media too (think Pinterest and Facebook). She helps create content to fit the brand's aesthetic and helps keep the blog alive! She left the prairies (Regina, Saskatchewan to be exact), a little over a year ago to come to Vancouver to pursue her love for fashion. She also has her own blog, Marisa Meets Couture, that she started when she was 16. Keep reading to learn more about Marisa!

HOW DID YOU BECOME A PART OF THE OLIVE + PIPER TEAM?

I was at a workshop and Tania was speaking about her business, giving advice and explaining her story along a few other women. Her story really stood out to me and I loved everything she had to say. About month later I graduated from Fashion Marketing and emailed her to go for coffee... asking if there was a potential opening within her business. 

WHAT DOES YOUR TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE?

I work a full time job as well, so I work there during the week and after work I usually come home to work on olive + piper. That includes writing blog posts, pinning, and create Facebook posts. I really enjoy writing and I love the freedom Tania gives me to write about what I like. I also used to help with customer service and shipping as well. 

IF YOU COULD RAID ANYONE'S CLOSET, WHO WOULD IT BE?

It would probably be Rachel Zoe. I am obsessed with her. 

TELL US ABOUT YOUR WRITING AND DIGITAL MARKETING PROCESS? 

When I am deciding on posts, I give Tania all my ideas and together we decide which ones our readers will be most interested in. If it's a styling post, I will usually look at the pieces on the site and draw inspiration from there and how we can style them. I love showing you lovely ladies how to wear our pieces!

As for digital content, I really focus on what our brand identity is and make sure that everything we create is on brand and in line with our message and style.

FAVORITE PIECE ON OLIVE + PIPER RIGHT NOW?

My style is very bohemian, so I really love the Azalea Stone Necklace and the Zenya Ring. Honestly, anything Tania and Clarissa design, I love though!

WHAT'S ONE RANDOM FACT ABOUT YOU?

I never tried an Orange until I was 22!! (This year.)

WHERE WOULD YOU LIVE IF YOU COULD LIVE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD? 

I would want to live in Hawaii, mainly because that's my family's favourite place to vacation. It would be so cool to surf every day... but the fashionista side of me would love to live in New York.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT WORKING FOR OLIVE + PIPER? 

I love how the team is always coming up with new and exciting ideas for collections. It's really amazing to see them come to life.
